Selforganizing teams
Abstract
The self-organisation of people is a difficult thing to deal with. Agile coaches, particularly ScrumMaster, are constantly faced with the question of how they best lead their teams or motivate them without telling them explicitly what to do. Besides the classical writings on this subject (e.g. Tuckman), or works that build on this, there is however little information or training. To leave a team alone with the attitude “You are all grown-up, you'll manage that”, is just as irresponsible as to introduce a hierarchical command structure. So, how do you best do it?
This one-day workshop offers techniques, based on leading edge research in the field of social complexity theory, to change the dynamics of a team - with the aim to optimise their teamwork.
