What is excellent knowledge organization?
“Excellent knowledge organization” is a project for the initiative “fit for knowledge competition” by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. With this initiative, the ministry pursues the aim of strengthening knowledge management in medium-sized businesses. In the period from 2004 – 2012, more than 34 projects with a capacity of 17.5 million Euros will have been sponsored. The nerve center of the information platform for the initiative “fit for knowledge competition” is the page www.wissenmanagen.net, on which besides itemis, the other “excellent knowledge organizations” are also listed. All exemplary solutions will be published as case studies both online and as a printed brochure.
What makes itemis an excellent knowledge organization?
itemis AG were judged in various dimensions, together with 50 other candidates who have between 4 and 500 employees and that come from different industries: The judges paid particular attention to effective management with knowledge in business management, business processes, projects as well as in terms of knowledge of the staff and external partners, the entire support through a knowledge orientated infrastructure.
itemis convinced the panel of experts with its intelligent solutions and now provides concrete impulses for other companies as an example of excellent practice to model the management with the resource knowledge effectively and efficiently. According to the jury, itemis distinguishes itself through a conscious and integrated knowledge management in all of the dimensions mentioned. Moreover, the solutions are innovative, pragmatic and transferable to other firms.
