itemis AG has been a member of the Eclipse Foundation since 2006 and provides committers for the Eclipse modeling project. In doing so, itemis helps determine and push ahead the strategic alignment of Eclipse modeling.
itemis promotes the German and European Open Source community and has made it its duty to work together with the other members of the Eclipse Foundation on the strategic alignment and promotion of model-driven development technologies. itemis furthermore provides the Eclipse community a global training program on Eclipse modeling.

The ARTEMIS Industrial Association (ARTEMISIA) was founded in January 2007 as a trading association and supports the buildup of the Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) within the scope of the European technology platform ARTEMIS. The focus of its content is the design, the development and the use of ubiquitary, cost-efficient, interoperable and secure embedded systems.
The University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund was founded in 1971 and educates about 8,500 students in 7 faculties and offers more than 30 courses. Studies, teachings and research are oriented towards solving practical problems and tasks.
The University of Paderborn was founded in 1972 and follows the principle of being a "University of the Information Society". The goal is to promote the information society’s development in natural sciences and technologies and to critically analyse this development. At the same time, the University intends to throw light upon our culture and use the chances given by the information and knowledge society.

The MDA Working Group of the German IT Association, Gesellschaft für Informatik, reinforces the exchange between practitioners and researchers in the area of model-driven software architecture. Its goals are to identify the acute need for research and the transfer of research results back into the industrial practice.
With JBoss in its portfolio, the software manufacturer Red Hat has a leading provider of Open Source Middleware at its disposal. As a JBoss SI Advanced Partner, itemis promotes Open Source ideas. The exchange of know-how on everything concerning Open Source, SOA and service models will additionally aid in problem solving and the implementation of model-driven aspects through the use of JBoss solutions.
XING is a Business-Network with more than 8 million members. XING offers not only simple networking but also a range of opportunities for exchange. This also includes the numerous groups with which there are many different topics. itemis employees moderate and support among others, the following groups:
The Johanniter are available for social engagement in Christian tradition. Today non-hospital social services, stationary elderly facilities, hospitals as well as children's and youth facilities can be found under the umbrella of the Johanniter order. They are regarded as one of the largest Welfare and aid organizations in Germany. Every year, more than seven million people are supervised from more than 300 locations.
The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. has been active in the various fields of social and charitable sectors for almost 60 years and is in the tradition of the Evangelical Johanniter order.
