itemis AG took first-place in the “Deutschen Personalwirtschaftpreis 2010” (German Personnel Management Award 2010). Convincing the jury was the exceptional personnel concept, the “4+1-working time model”, in which the employees have one day a week at their disposal for personal development. The award was presented by Thomas Sattelberger, Director of Human Resources for Deutsche Telekom and member of the jury as well as by Wolfgang Clement, former Federal Minister of Economy.

With an accumulated percentage sales growth rate in the last five years of 749.53%, the Lünen based company was nominated for the “Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2009”. itemis AG is one of the 25 companies that will be awarded with the title “Excellent Knowledge Organization” in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology on October 30th 2009. Within the framework of the “13th day of action business start-up and business assurance” in Dortmund, Wolfgang Neuhaus und Jens Wagener were honored as successful entrepreneurs. The Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) of Dortmund, paid tribute to the two itemis board members with the bestowal of the “Silver Wand of Mercury” for the courage to be independent. During the award ceremony, IHK-general manager Reinhard Schulz also positively underlined the strong growth of the IT-consulting company since its establishment in 2003.
At the award of the best employer in Germany of the institute »Great Place to Work®« in Berlin, itemis secured itself a place among the best 100 employers of 2009.

The JAX Innovation Award was presented and awarded to the winners during the JAX, the Enterprise Architecture Conference and the Eclipse Forum Europe. The three conferences took place at the same time in Wiesbaden from 23 to 27 April 2007 and together represent the most important meeting for professional information technology in Europe. itemis AG received the seal of approval TOP 100 for its outstanding innovative achievements and is therefore one of the most innovative medium-sized businesses in Germany. In the category Top Management Promoting Innovation, itemis attained the first place and ranks among the five most innovative companies in Germany. itemis AG was an award winner in the contest Zukunftswettbewerb Ruhrgebiet, a future contest promoting technology-oriented and innovative products in the the Ruhr Area of Germany, in 2005 and 2006 as part of the Ziel-2 program of the Federal State of North-Rhine Westphalia. The research sponsor is the Jülich Research Center. The Center for Innovation and Technology (ZENIT) awarded the research funds.
itemis products and solutions GmbH und Co. KG won fourth place and €10,000 subsidy. An excerpt from the justification states: “The products of itemis products and solutions offer the customer one-of-a-kind benefits through the combination of the advantages of standard and individual software. itemis optimizes product data management with its product DM4.
