Abstract
Building large and scalable MDD infrastructures with eclipse modeling tools can be quite a challenge. How do you work with several meta models? How do you write and manage large code generators? How do you integrate textual and graphical editors? How do you store large or many models? How do you go about building editors that work on a common resource? Based on the trainers’ experience with these challenges, this course teaches you everything you need to know to become really proficient with eclipse modeling.
Goal
The participants know the methods to draw up scalable MDD infrastructures.
Audience/Prerequisites
Software developers and architects with Understanding of and initial experience with Eclipse Modeling tools, for example obtained through the MDD with Eclipse Modeling training course.

- How to structure the Eclipse workspace
- Modularizing languages with Xtext
- Combining GMF editors and Xtext editors for the same meta-model
- Using viewpoints to structure large models
- Using CDO to store models in the database
- Using AO to build variants of generators and transformations
- Strategies for model evolution
