Model-Driven Development with Eclipse
Abstract
Eclipse is increasingly gaining importance in the support of the development of embedded systems. It is probably less well-known that Eclipse provides technologies within the framework of the Eclipse modeling project which simplify the building of integrated tool chains for the application of model-driven software development. This tutorial will provide an overview of the most important methods and technologies for »graphical and textual modeling« and for the »validation of models«, »code generation« and »model-to-model transformation«.
All aspects of Eclipse modeling technologies will be communicated through a practical example using a textual model for the generation of embedded software. The overview starts with metamodeling and leads you to generated, executable code. Axel Terfloth lead this compact seminar.
