Open Source Solutions for Model-Driven Development

The term openArchitectureWare (oAW for short) stands for a platform for model-driven software development.

openArchitectureWare is available for free under the “Eclipse Public License” Open Source license and is being further developed by a large community of developers. itemis AG employees are in charge of its development.

The platform makes it possible to process code generators for any type of model. In addition to almost all models created with UML tools, this also includes Visio or EMF models and textual specifications. Any type of source code can be generated out of the models. oAW provides extensive options for model validation and simple model transformations.

oAW offers state-of-the-art Eclipse-compatible technology components which can be implemented by customers individually or in combination with their specific development environments – with an absolutely free software license.
