Scrum explained: One team, one robot, one day...

Abstract

In this practically orientated training, the team get to know Scrum. The itemis-trainers clearly explain basic ideas, approaches and processes. The workshop is aimed at IT-employees who will form a Scrum-Team in the future, after the change-over of the processes in their company to an agile approach. It is however also aimed at newly compiled teams with their first Scrum experience.

In this workshop, the team undergoes an actual Scrum-project with the construction of a robot. In the course of this, the trainers take on the role of Scrum Master and Product Owner. Within the framework of the training, the team are faced with situations which regularly occur in software projects. Subsequently, it is analyzed what resources and technologies the team have available in order to react appropriately. Within this one-day workshop, in which only the team should participate, the participants learn everything about their rights and responsibilities on the development process with Scrum.

Thereby, the focus is on the self-organization of the team, the demarcation of the team against outside influences, dealing with conflicts within the team as well as the team cohesion.
