Installation and versions

How do I install itemis CREATE into an existing Eclipse?

Use the Eclipse update site:

https://artifacts.itemis.cloud/repository/p2/create/releases

  1. In Eclipse, choose Help → Install New Software…
  2. Press Add in the top right corner of the wizard and enter the URL above.
  3. Select the features you want and follow the wizard.

The update site carries all itemis CREATE features (5.x releases) as well as the older YAKINDU Statechart Tools features (4.x releases). If you do not have Eclipse yet, get it from eclipse.org/downloads.

Which Eclipse version do I need?

That depends on the itemis CREATE release:

  • 5.2.x requires Eclipse 2022-03 or newer.
  • 5.0.x and 5.1.x require Eclipse 2023-03 or older.
How do I update an existing installation?
Choose Help → Check for Updates… in Eclipse. Once the plugins are installed, the user guide is available under Help → Help Contents.
