As a rule, nobody here wears a suit and tie. We don’t care how you dress, but how you work. At itemis, you are also welcome in jeans and a T-shirt. Only when meeting with customers, we ask you to adapt to their dress code.
We naturally assign employees to projects that are close to home. But sometimes, working on a project that requires travel is unavoidable. Therefore, we expect a certain willingness to travel from you.
However, since the coronavirus panadmic, most meetings are held by phone or video conference.
What does career actually mean? Exactly that is something different for everyone – even if it took us a little while to understand it!
In the past, we thought that a career necessarily had to do with having disciplinary responsibility – nonsense!
Today, it is as clear as daylight to us that a technical or professional career should definitely be an alternative. We want to keep both paths open for our employees. In order to be able to do this, we have looked at what levels there must be. For young colleagues, it is important to see that development is taking place. Others come with a little experience and want to see this valued at their level. For senior colleagues, this applies to the same extent, but the criteria are quite different. Of course, the path to disciplinary leadership should not be missing. If you want to know which criteria we apply and where we see you, you will probably have to apply.
Your onboarding begins immediately after signing the contract. Speaking of contracts: We will send you a draft of the contract in advance by e-mail. You have all the time you need to read and understand the individual points.

After you have signed the contract, we will add you to our community as soon as possible. You will receive access to our communication medium Slack, which will notify you of all important company information and connect you with your colleagues.

Your first day at work will usually be at our headquarters in Lünen. Here you will receive your hardware, learn everything you need to know to start with us (compliance, tools, contact persons, etc.) and get answers to your questions.

Your team leader will take care of your induction and discuss your near future in our exciting work environment with you.

To prepare you for the future, you will work out your goals together with your team leader as part of the 4+1 training program. At the same time, there is a "Training Series" for all item types. Internal events give you the framework to network with other colleagues and to get to know the contact persons for the individual subject areas.
After the end of the application process, your application documents are stored in our system for 6 months. Then they are erased in compliance with the GDPR.
If we cannot hire you currently, but a subsequent job is a possibility, we ask for your consent to store your data in our talent pool. Extended data storage only takes place if you consent to this process.
