You still have questions?

Your application should include a short cover letter and your current CV. Especially the CV helps us to get an impression of your skills and project experience.

Do you have any additional references or certificates? Then please send them to us. And don't forget your profile link to GitHub or Stack Overflow, if you are active in these communities.

You can apply via the respective link, which you will find under the respective job advertisement. This will take you to the application form, where you can conveniently submit your application (don't forget to include your CV and other documents in PDF format).

Of course, you can also apply by e-mail. Send us your documents to

At itemis, we don't have a specific dress code, neither in interviews nor in everyday work. So feel free to come to the personal meeting in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

Even if no employment relationship is established between you and itemis, we will reimburse you for the costs of travel to and from your interview.

Please note that we will only reimburse the costs of a 2nd class train journey. Please coordinate flight and hotel bookings with us in advance.

Of cource we try to ensure that our employees are deployed in projects that are close to their locations. However, sometimes a project assignment that involves travel cannot be avoided. We therefore expect a certain willingness to travel from you.

The first interview will either be over the phone with a colleague from your (hopefully) future team or we will invite you directly to one of our locations - whichever suits you better. At this personal interview, there are usually two people present besides you. Someone who looks to see if you are a good fit for us professionally and your future team or site manager.

The purpose of the interview is to learn more about you and to find out whether we are a good fit for each other. But we also want to know what your professional skills are. That's why we may give you a task or two.

Due to the Corona pandemic, all interviews currently take place by telephone or video conference.

The second interview usually takes place at our Lünen site. Our HR Director Olaf Burkart and another colleague will be waiting for you at this interview. The first interview will be followed up and your technical knowledge will be put to the test once again. Usually, there are no further tests or programming tasks.

Furthermore, it is now also about the contract design - what are our terms and conditions? What do you want from your potential new employer? After all, we want you to feel comfortable with us.

After completion of the application process, your application documents remain stored in our system for 6 months. Then they will be deleted in accordance with the GDPR.

If we are currently unable to hire you, but do not want to exclude the possibility of hiring you at a later date, we will ask you for permission to store your data in our Talent Pool. Only if you agree to this process, the extended data storage will take place.

Your onboarding begins immediately after signing the contract. Speaking of contracts: We will send you a draft of the contract in advance by e-mail. You have all the time you need to read and understand the individual points.

After you have signed the contract, we will add you to our community as soon as possible. You will receive access to our communication medium Slack, which will notify you of all important company information and connect you with your colleagues.

Your first day at work will usually be at our headquarters in Lünen. Here you will receive your hardware, learn everything you need to know to start with us (compliance, tools, contact persons, etc.) and get answers to your questions.

Your team leader will take care of your induction and discuss your near future in our exciting work environment with you.

To prepare you for the future, you will work out your goals together with your team leader as part of the 4+1 training program. At the same time, there is a "Training Series" for all item types. Internal events give you the framework to network with other colleagues and to get to know the contact persons for the individual subject areas.
