Project migration is the general process of keeping your TARA projects compatible with the releases of the SECURE RCP. This is mostly an semi-automated process that the RCP will guide you through automatically upon opening a project in a newer version of the RCP. But in certain situations the migration has to be performed in a more organized and slightly restricted way in order to keep the overall quality levels and vulnerability levels of the RCP in check.

This section of the user guide will provide:

• a more detailed explanation to the situations in which free forward migration isn’t immediately possible,
• a resource to consult to see in advance whether your intended migration path is supported, and
• a general migration guide, which should give you more confidence with migrations in either situation.
