The Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP) stands for direct cooperation between science and companies. More and more members benefit from the research and innovation partnership with the University of Paderborn as members of the SICP. For companies, participation means strategic positioning. As the newest member, the German IT consulting and software development company itemis AG has now joined the SICP.

„Collaborations with strong partners from business and research play their part in the success stories with our customers. Our technological know-how can be found in countless SmartHome devices, cars and other mobility solutions, motor controls, e-commerce solutions and many other application areas from the B2C and B2B sectors. Especially in the IoT and IIoT environment, we have recently proven that we can transform innovative ideas into user-friendly products and services.“, says Benedikt Niehues, Head of IoT and SmartTechnologies.

„We know that there is huge potential in this network. By joining the Software Innovation Campus Paderborn, we want to create the foundation for tomorrow's innovations. Together with the SICP members, we want to significantly shape the digital future in order to strengthen our competencies and the competitiveness of our companies. We look forward to the time ahead and a productive collaboration for all parties“, Christoph Borowski, project manager and Head of the itemis branch office in Paderborn, adds.

itemis is also involved in organizing and hosting various exchange formats. Together with the SICP and S&N Invent GmbH, itemis organizes, for example, the Paderborn IT-Flash, which goes back to an initiative of itemis. The SICP and itemis have also successfully collaborated on the organization of the World Usability Day in Paderborn.

„With its focus on model-based software development, language engineering and usability/user experience, itemis offers interesting points of contact for research and practice. We believe that itemis with its profile will complement and enrich the network of SICP members very well and is an interesting project partner in the SICP“, says Dr. Stefan Sauer, Managing Director at SICP.
